Sun Jar

Description
OK, people, its time to relax. If you were one of the many who watched Danny Boyles recent apocalyptic nightmare Sunshine (the film in which the earth is about to die due to a woeful lack of, yup, you guessed it, mushy peas. No, sorry, blancmange. Oh, alright then, sunshine), then panic no longer. Because some wonderful boffins have come up with the Sun Jar. This ingenious gizmo captures everyday sunlight and stores it up until you want it. (Theyre assuming theres enough of the stuff knocking about during the day that you can spare some, and that you like to be able to find your way about at night. Its not an unreasonable hypothesis). The timeless style of a traditional frosted glass Mason jar has been combined with a highly efficient solar-cell, rechargeable battery and some low-energy LED lamps to create this utterly cool (and totally free to run) lamp. Perfect for the bedroom, chilled lounge or even in the garden (yes, its waterproof), its got an override switch, too, for when its time to go to bed or conserve energy. Cunning and cool, and it wont put a penny on your electric bill, either. The Sun Jar is a truly bright idea.\n Specification Please Note: While Sun Jars do make excellent outdoor lighting during the evenings, it is recommended that when not in use they should be stored indoors on a sunny window sill. Winner of the Gift of the Year 2007 Dimensions: Approximately 10cm(W) x 16cm(H) x 10cm(D) Charge Time: Full charge takes 3 hours and gives 5 hours of continuous glow.
